Jillian Gosling, PsyD is a licensed clinical psychologist who grew up in New Jersey and has been living in Ohio for the last 7 years. Dr. Gosling earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and education from Bucknell University, in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. After entering the workforce, Dr. Gosling quickly found her passion in the world of clinical psychology and returned to graduate school to further her training. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology with a concentration in children and adolescents from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, after completing a professional internship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH). Dr. Gosling is currently completing a postdoctoral fellowship at NCH in clinical child psychology and will be joining Metta as a full-time psychologist in July of 2026.
Dr. Gosling spent much of her adolescence working with children with special needs in hopes of becoming a special education teacher. However, after being exposed to the world of psychology in high school and college, she was captivated by how the brain works, how social, emotional, and behavioral concerns develop, and how psychological services can help people of all ages and backgrounds. Dr. Gosling has many years of experience working with children, families, and young adults in outpatient clinics, hospitals, primary care offices, community centers, and schools. These experiences have led her to value collaboration with the many important people involved in clients’ lives, such as family members, teachers, and medical providers.
Dr. Gosling specializes in working with children/adolescents (ages 3-18) and young adults to address concerns related to anxiety, perfectionism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), disruptive and/or acting out behavior, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), low self-esteem, friendship challenges, grief, and adjustment to life changes. Dr. Gosling strives to provide a warm, non-judgmental, and safe environment to help develop trust and a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients. She views this connection as being foundational to all evidence-based interventions, which are tailored to meets the needs of each individual client. Dr. Gosling utilizes a variety of approaches in treatment and has specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parent Behavior Management Training (PBMT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). At the core of Dr. Gosling’s work is a commitment to helping young people feel understood, supported, and empowered.
Additionally, Dr. Gosling provides psychological evaluations for children/adolescents (ages 6-18) and adults to help clients better understand their strengths, weaknesses, and factors contributing to the current challenges they face. The assessment battery and process are individualized depending on the referral question and parent concerns.
