A trauma is an experience that causes an intense emotional reaction. Although these feelings are normal, they can sometimes leave a person feeling “stuck.” Learn more about trauma and how research-based EMDR can help.
Psychological Assessment
Psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults are individualized to meet the needs of the client. Evaluations are helpful when more information is needed to better understand academic, cognitive, social-emotional or behavioral functioning. Evaluations are also requested to clarify a possible Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) diagnosis. Information is collected from multiple sources (e.g., child, parent, teachers) and is used to help develop interventions. Our psychologists will provide you with a comprehensive written report of the results of the evaluation and treatment recommendations. The evaluation can assist in planning a child’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Intervention plan for school accommodations and collaboration with school counselors, teachers, and intervention specialists.
