Dr. Gontkovsky is a native of northeast Ohio and a licensed psychologist in the state of Ohio. He completed his doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and his internship with specializations in Health Psychology and Neuropsychology at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System in Little Rock, Arkansas. He went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Gontkovsky has expertise in both psychological and neuropsychological assessment as well as extensive experience working with individuals with chronic health issues and neurological disorders. He also provides individual and couples treatment for adults struggling with problems such as depression, anxiety, trauma, marital discord, and life transitions/adjustment. Dr. Gontkovsky practices an integrative form of psychotherapy incorporating supportive, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, interpersonal, psychodynamic, and Jungian approaches.

In his free time, Dr. Gontkovsky volunteers at two local museums and enjoys classic film, art, theater, wine, motocross, and martial arts. He also enjoys playing with his Tabby/Maine Coon mix cat, Dexter.
